ebooks and more ebooks..

Ebooks or e-books stands for electronic books, the digital media equivalent of a conventional printed book. Such documents are either read on personal computers, or on dedicated hardware devices known as e-book devices or e-book readers (according to Wikipedia)

There are a lot of ebook readers out there and each of them support a different ebook format. Ebooks can be read either on a personal computer or on a PALM or Pocket PC. I won't go into detail about PALM ebook readers (mainly because I don't own one and it is my personal opinion na napaka-UN-user-friendly ng software na yun).

Below is the list of ebook readers that I have installed on my Pocket PC. :D

(1) Microsoft Reader - capable of reading only (.LIT) file formats. :D You can download this for free from Microsoft's website. You can also convert any word document that you have into a .LIT file by downloading and installing a converter (for free) from Microsoft's website. :D

(2) Adobe Reader - syempre, (.PDF) lang ang mababasa nito. It can again be downloaded for free from Adobe's website.

(3) Mobipocket Reader - this supports (.PRC, .PDB, .CHM, .HTML, .TXT) file formats. You can download this for free from Mobipocket's website.

(4) iSilo - this is also a document reader which will be able to read PALM documents (.PRC, .PDB) and (.TXT) file formats. You can download the trial version which you can use for an unlimited amount of time with limited functionality or purchase the full version.

(5) Repligo - supports (.RGO) file formats. From Cerience Corporation, the viewer can be downloaded for free.

You can download ebooks from a lot of sources i.e. Limewire, www.4shared.com,  www.esnips.com, and www.ppcwarez.org

Ok ba ang limewire? Gamit ko kasi Bearshare.

Hahaha! Thanks! Sa mga sites na yan palagi ko nakukuha ang aking mga ebooks. :D Especially yung mga bagong labas lang.. Hihihi..

Limewire is OK. I have Limewire Pro on mine and so far, OK naman sya.. dapat nga lang very specific ka mag-search.
