my 6280 for an n81

June 15, 2008

I got my Nokia 6280 repaired at Nokia Care Ali Mall last May 31st. Just got it back yesterday.. Ika nga walang perang pangtubos ng telepono.. hehehe.. Not until payday anyway. :D

My calculator went missing! Actually, I think because it was due to a corrupted theme I installed on my phone. I know.. my fault! Hehehe… So, I took it back to Nokia Care. I had my phone’s keypad replaced as well. Gasgas na eh. Since the phone was already out of warranty with Nokia, I paid for it. It cost me Php813. Yep. The keypad was like Php192 and the repair was Php560.

Like I said, I got it back yesterday. And when I got it back, I saw the lady beside me holding up a very intriguing phone. It’s a slider phone, of course, Nokia brand! Hahahah! And it looked a bit sleek and it’s black!

I checked the web for it and came with three results: 6600 slide, 6210 Navigator, N96 and the N81.  The 6600 Slide and the N96 aren’t yet released, just announced so that leaves the 6210 Navigator and the N81. The Navigator unfortunately doesn’t look sleek enough, so it must be the N81.  The N81 comes in 2GB and 8GB memory. And I want one!!! Hahahah!!!

Check out the specs from GSMARENA here .

The "Nokia Batman" Phone Hits Verizon on June 15

Verizon has just announced the availability of the first “Nokia Batman” phone, officially called Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight. With such a long (and quite funny) name, the new handset, that we first heard of two days ago, will try to appeal to the fans of both Nokia and Batman. That’s because it’s named after the upcoming Batman movie, which is planned to hit the theaters on July 17 in Australia, July 18 in the US and July 25 in the UK.

The new Nokia will be available starting June 15, only from Verizon Wireless’ official website. With a two-year contract agreement, the handset will cost you $69.99, while the free-of-contract price has not been announced yet.

The features of Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight include a 2 inch internal display with 262K colors and 176 x 220 pixels, VZ Navigator, access to V CAST Music and V CAST Video, Bluetooth, Web capabilities, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, 58MB of internal memory and microSD card support. Also, being a special edition phone, the clamshell comes with The Dark Knight content like a “subtle emblem”, a Joker playing card, wallpaper, animated screensavers, voice tones and a full movie trailer – which is not the full movie, of course, but it might still allay the “Batman hunger” fans might have.

As for the standard and non-Batmanized version of Nokia 6205, Verizon said it would be available starting July, after the Dark Knight movie is released. Its price and features are the same (save for the Batman content) and users will be able to get it both online, from Verizon’s website, and from the carrier’s stores across the country (Batman’s country, that is).

With Christian Bale playing Batman (again), The Dark Knight movie is the sequel of Batman Begins, appeared back in 2005. At that time, Nokia didn’t think of making a Batphone, but it’s good (I guess) that it has done it now.

CrazyKart Closed Beta now available!!!

I got my CrazyKart closed beta installer in my email yesterday. I was only able to download it after 7PM though. The email mentioned that the closed beta will begin on 1PM tomorrow and will only be available from 12NN to 12MN daily only.

We’ll, that’s fine. My neighbor’s wifi router’s turned on around 1PM anyway.. heheheh.. So, I’d be able to test it.

CrazyKart’s sort of like MarioKart and a very popular game in China. Now, distributed by LevelUp Games for the Philippines, it’ll give some people that we’re addicted to Need For Speed something new and cute to play with.

Personally, I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to online games. I’ve never really had an affinity for them, to tell you the truth. Maybe because the only online game that I was exposed to during my school years were Starcraft and Counterstrike. Both which made my head spin. And the only game I was addicted to was Pokemon! And it was on GBA! Hahaha.. Well, add also Diablo I which I was able to finish by the way. I used to play 6hours straight on Diablo I.. Teehee!!! I was also able to get a head start on Diablo II but unfortunately, I had school. Being an engineering student took up most of my time. Nakakasira talaga ang pag-aaral sa paglalaro. Heheheh..

If you want to check out CrazyKart, you can go to http://crazykart.levelupgames.ph

Well, we’ll see if it’s any good. :D
